The companion presented himself once again, this time telling Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم that before we were destroyed due to not having water now we are destroyed due to having too much water the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم smiled and said do u want me to supplicate so that the rain should stop the companion said can we have it so that it should not rain in the city but rain in the surroundings . The Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم supplicated “اللهم حوالينا لا علينا ” : “O Allah make it rain around us not on us”. It is said that when the companions left the Masjid it was raining in the surrounding area of Madina.
