Darul Uloom Pretoria Ladies Section Silver Jubilee Celebrations
On Sunday the 4th of September the Darul Uloom Pretoria Ladies Section hosted their 25th Annual Ladies Meeladun-Nabi (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم). The Silver Jubilee. An occasion of Thanksgiving to Allah Almighty for his blessings over 25 years.
25 years ago the Darul Uloom Ladies Section hosted their first Ladies Meeladun-Nabi (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم) and Alhamdulillah, now, the full capacity of attendance resonates its success. The success bears testament to the caliber of its founder, Aalimah Nusrat Hazarvi, who single handedly gave many ladies a sense of purpose and belonging in getting them involved in this worthy cause.
The Ladies only Silver Jubilee commemoration was a weekend affair at the Laudium Community Centre Hall (Civic). It all began on Friday night with a Naat Sherief Mehfil. An event wherein talented females from all around Laudium and surrounding areas are invited to display their talents in the recitation of Naat Shrief and Manqabat.
On Saturday evening Khatam-e-Qadria was read by the Ladies of the Darul Uloom.
The Main event, being the Meeladun-Nabi (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم), began on Sunday Morning with a Moulood sharif recited by NoorJahan Apa and members of the Darul Uloom. To invoke the blessings of Allah (SWT) on this gathering, Tahira Hazarvi, effortlessly recited a passage from the Noble Qur’an. Some of the Ladies of the class gave short talks on the importance of knowledge by Laila Siddique and Yasmin Aboo, members of the Ladies Section, and the facilities of the Darul Uloom Pretoria were expounded upon. The program for the day was conducted by Aalimah Khadeeja Ali, another long-standing member of the organisation.
The highlight of the Programme, however, was the Presentation to the Ladies of the Darul Uloom of a Memento of recognition by Apa Nusrat Hazarvi for their valuable contribution and service to the community. The presentation was concluded with the delivering of the Darul Uloom Pretoria’s Anthem by members of the Ladies Section. Following the Presentation, the distinguished Apa Nusrat Hazarvi delivered an inspiring talk, which captivated the crowd as it always does.
The platform was also given to the youth, Madressa girls rendered a Naat Sherief and the Youth wing of the Darul Uloom Pretoria Ladies Section entertained with a version of Saabri Brothers’ Taj-e-dare Haram.
The programme was terminated with Salaatus-Salaam, led by Shareefa Apa, and a Dua. The day ended off as usual with Niaz lunch being served which also brought to a close the weekend events and ended the Silver Jubilee Celebtrations.
